The USA Basketball Showcase continues this week with its second and final game in Abu Dhabi.
Team USA Basketball will take on Nikola Jokic and Serbia in the third pre-Olympic showcase game on Wednesday afternoon. The U.S. has won each of its first two games and beat Australia 98-92 on Monday. Anthony Davis played a big role in the American victory with his 17 points.
Australia and Serbia clashed on Tuesday, with the Boomers winning 84-73. Patty Mills of the Miami Heat led both teams in scoring in that game with 28 points — doubling Jokic’s 14-point total — including 4-of-7 from 3-point range on 7-of-13 shooting.
Wednesday’s game also serves as a preview for the group stage of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games basketball tournament. The USA and Serbia are both in Group C and will play each other in the Olympics.
