Death Certificate – Received Bomb blast But not confirmed by the actor's family – it lists “atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease” as the official cause of his death. Weathers died at 12:18 a.m. on February 2 at his home in Venice, California, according to the document.
The death was listed as “natural,” the document says Weathers had suffered from heart disease for years.
The certificate describes the actor as having spent 51 years in the entertainment industry.
Weathers played Apollo Creed in the first four Rocky Films and appeared predator, The Mandalorian, Happy Gilmore, Action Jackson, Arrested Development And dozens of other movies and TV shows.
In a statement at the time of his death, Weathers' family said, “He died peacefully in his sleep on February 1, 2024.”
“Carl was an exceptional man who lived an extraordinary life,” the statement continued. “Through his contributions to film, television, art and sports, he has left an indelible mark and is recognized around the world and across generations. He was a loving brother, father, grandfather, partner and friend.
