A total solar eclipse of the sun on April 8th will have millions of people watching the sky from Texas to Maine.
The eclipse will plunge people in a narrow path into afternoon darkness, but people outside the path of totality can use eclipse glasses to see the moon pass in front of the sun. Additionally, brands like Burger King and Pizza Hut are also getting in on the eclipse excitement.
If you can't get your hands on special eclipse glasses, or can't do it outside or at a nearby window, there are plenty of apps to watch the eclipse on your computer, tablet, or mobile device. Here's a roundup of some of those apps.
