If Google maintains the same price for the Pixel 8a, it will make it a worthwhile upgrade over the Pixel 7a. The Pixel 8a is said to introduce a better display, a new Tensor G3 SoC and a slightly larger battery than the Pixel 7a at the same price. This proposed price is still a leak, so treat it with some skepticism; But if true, it would set Google up against another great budget phone.
The leak also highlights new information about the Pixel 8a: it will be available in a 128GB variant as well as a 256GB storage option. The previous Pixel A devices, Pixel 7a and Pixel 6a were only available in 128GB variant. This would be a good move by Google to attract users who see 128GB of storage in 2024 as too little.
The report also includes several marketing images of the Pixel 8a. We've already covered the Pixel 8a leak in detail, and these images further confirm what we can expect from Google in the coming weeks.
One of the images shows the circle-first search feature, which is featured on the Pixel 8a. This isn't surprising given Google's perennial focus on making it easy to search on your phone.
