Pixel 8a US price leaked: Yes or no?

The Pixel 8a is coming out with leaked renders and leaked ads, and it's only a matter of time until we know more important information about the phone. As a new report has shared the price of the Pixel 8a in the US, we're wondering.

According to a report from Smartbricks, the Pixel 8a costs $499 in the US for its 128GB storage variant and $559 for the 256GB storage variant. This price is similar to the Pixel 7a's 128GB variant's launch price of $499, although the phone is often available for less through sales and discounts.

If Google maintains the same price for the Pixel 8a, it will make it a worthwhile upgrade over the Pixel 7a. The Pixel 8a is said to introduce a better display, a new Tensor G3 SoC and a slightly larger battery than the Pixel 7a at the same price. This proposed price is still a leak, so treat it with some skepticism; But if true, it would set Google up against another great budget phone.

The leak also highlights new information about the Pixel 8a: it will be available in a 128GB variant as well as a 256GB storage option. The previous Pixel A devices, Pixel 7a and Pixel 6a were only available in 128GB variant. This would be a good move by Google to attract users who see 128GB of storage in 2024 as too little.
