Sabrina Ionescu won the 3-point contest
New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu couldn’t miss in the final round of the WNBA All-Star 3-point contest, scoring a WNBA-record 37 points and missing just two shots Friday at Michelop Ultra Arena in Las Vegas.
He was challenged in the first round by Seattle Storm guard Sammy Whitcomb’s 28 points, but lost in Ionescu’s scorching round to Whitcomb (24 points) and the third finalist, Dallas Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale (11 points).

Aces won the skills challenge
Setting the tone for this weekend in Las Vegas, the Aces team of Chelsea Gray and Kelsey Plum defeated fellow super-team Liberty in the finals of the Skills Challenge. Gray and Plum beat Sabrina Ionescu and Courtney Vandersloot’s time by 13 seconds in the final round.
In the first round, Team Dream (Alisha Gray and Cheyenne Parker) and Team Wings (Arike Ogunbowale and Sato Saballi) were eliminated early.
