Former President Donald Trump has said he’s “OK” following prison terms or house arrest Historic conviction in 34 criminal cases Falsifying business records.
“I’m fine with it,” Trump told Fox News in an interview that aired Sunday when asked about possible punishments. “I saw one of my lawyers on television. I said: You must not beg for anything.
But, Trump added, “I don’t think the public is going to put up with it. I don’t know if the public will support it.
“I think it’s going to be hard for the public to take, you know, at a certain point, there’s a breaking point,” Trump said.

Judge Juan Mercon scheduled Trump’s sentencing for July 11 at 10 a.m. ET. Merchan Trump could face probation or up to 4 years in state prison on each count, with a maximum of 20 years.
For now, the former president is out of jail awaiting sentencing. In a Fox News interview, he denied any wrongdoing and blamed the “sick” people involved in his sentencing.
“I’m fighting for the Constitution,” Trump said, adding that the investigation was “harder” on his family than on him. Speaking specifically about his wife, former first lady Melania Trump, the former president said, “She’s doing well, but I think it’s very difficult for her. I mean, she’s fine. But it’s … you know, she has to read this nonsense.
Asked about the possibility of political revenge if he wins the 2024 presidential election, Trump said that while it would seem “beautiful” to win, “it’s very difficult when you see what they’ve done.”
“These people are so evil that the country can be united at the same time,” he added.
