Two million Cosori air fryers sold on Amazon.com, Target and other retailers have been recalled over burn and fire safety risks.

Popular kitchen appliance brand Cosori is recalling two million air fryers after receiving 205 reports of the air fryers catching fire, burning, melting, overheating and smoking. The resulting injuries include superficial burns and property damage.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced remember Thursday urged consumers to immediately stop using products with wire connections that are prone to overheating, raising concerns that fryers could catch fire or injure consumers.

“After a thorough investigation, in very rare circumstances, the closed-end crimp connectors inside the recalled air fryers — which are responsible for establishing electrical connections between some wires — could overheat, cause fires and burns,” Kosori said. A Report on its website.

Cosori sold approximately two million air-fryer units of various models and sizes in the United States, and an additional 270,000 units of hazardous products in Canada and Mexico.

The air fryers were sold at retailers including Amazon.com, Best Buy, Home Depot and Target from June 2018 through December 2022, and range in price from $70 to $130.

Affected consumers are entitled to a replacement air fryer or other Kosori product upon registration at recall.cosori.com.
